Day 2 in Krakow

Although there are many ways in which the United States and Poland are different, here are just a few that I have noticed over the last couple of days.

For one, Cathedrals in Poland are much more elaborate than in the U.S..
For example, here there is an abundance of gold throughout every
cathedral that we have visited, including the one located in the Wawel
Castle in Kraków.

Another difference that I noticed is where people park their cars
along the streets in Poland. Here they park on the sidewalk, not next
to the street but up on the sidewalk. This is one thing that stands
out because as you are walking down the sidewalk there may be
someone getting out of their car who just happens to hit you with
their door (this may or may not have actually happen😆).

The final notable difference that I noticed is with their trams. In
Kraków there are many trams all over but what is very unique is that
their track is in the middle of the street. As they are going down the
road there are cars driving right next to them and often times in
front of them, blocking them from moving. Something else that is unique about
Polish trams is that they commonly stop for pedestrians. There aren’t
signs or anything that makes them stop, it is just the way they do
things in Poland.
